Hello Everyone, these are just a few wedding pictures, Andrew and Becky enjoyed every minute of their special day, the picture of the two people sat at the table are my husband Tony and me and the little boy is Jude our grandson he had popped over for a visit, the cake was made by my daughter Kate as a gift for her brother and his wife, she had never made a wedding cake before and she had never made icing flowers before but she did a wonderful job didn't she? the next picture is of my daughter Kate and her husband Steve, the one with the ice cream all over his face is Freddie our other grandson, the day started with torrential rain and got worse I as really worried as we drove to the church but the closer we got the less rain, until finally it stopped and the sun came out God was definitely on our side, it is such a joy to see your child so happy and they are now on the way to Bali for a once in a lifetime Honeymoon.

Hello everyone, I am still alive and kicking, you will be glad to hear that our bungalow is very nearly finished, just a few small jobs to complete, it is so nice to put out all my precious things it is like finding old friends.
The two lovely people you see above are Andrew (my son) and Becky who are getting married on Saturday, they are a lovely couple and have saved hard to have a lovely wedding day, I am so looking forward to seeing all our relatives and meeting new people, the venue is lovely and their theme is Garden Party! I made them 100mtrs of bunting yes, that is 100mtrs to help decorate the Marquee and there will be lots of flowers, Kate my daughter has an old bike with a large basket on the front which is going to be filled with flowers and will have a                       ' Wedding this way' sign attached, I will post photo's.

Hello people, this is my new dresser for my new kitchen, I love it! the kitchen is getting there, we have a cooker, microwave and hob fitted and Tony is fitting the sink today it is at last beginning to look like a kitchen and not a builders site. I will post more photo's soon.
The weather here is awful today, I cannot wait for some warm weather so that we can start on the garden what a pleasure that will be after all this building work, I have planted lots of seeds because we have to start this garden from scratch and I want lot of plants to fill it.
Our little Freddie is 1year old today goodness me time passes so quickly, we have committed to looking after Jude and Freddie for one day a week when Kate goes back to work, she will only be working 3 days the other two they will spend in nursery, they are such lovely boys.
We are having a sad time at the moment with Tony's Dad he has dementia and has become very confused and a little aggressive Tony's Mum is 88 and finding it more and more difficult to look after him, he wanders around in the middle of the night, he doesn't recognise anyone anymore and he is starting to do silly things, we think the only solution is a home but what a horrible decision for Mum to have to make, we are all giving her the support she needs but only she can make the decision, what a terrible disease this is.

Hello People, I am still here but, as you can see I am really busy knocking the kitchen about, the plumber has been the electrician has been and the plasterer has been, Tony an I have spent the last two days getting out what was left of the old kitchen and putting dishes and stuff back into boxes, we now have just two cups two plates and some other bits, I have condensed all the tinned and packet food into the last of the kitchen cupboards which I will be really glad to see the back of, we also had to get up a wooden floor and under the floor were the most horrid black tiles which we have now chipped off we just have to get rid of the horrible lino tiles and we will be ready to start laying our new floor, we have no means of cooking only the microwave, my sink is no more, the only water to fill a kettle is in the bathroom, Tony has managed to keep my washing machine so that I can use it and we have our old freezer which is being moved into the hall tomorrow so life is a bit difficult at the moment but we are managing, I have just sat down to write this but Tony is on his way to the tip to get rid of all the cupboards and the wooden floor and the tiles so a large cup of tea for him when he gets back.
I hope you are all well and your new year has started well, I will post piuctures of the kitchen as it progresses.

Just a quick visit to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.

Monday, 16 December 2013

Santa came to see Freddie and Jude and Freddie seems to like him a lot, what a special time of year this is for small children, my grandchildren like all the other children are having a wonderful time, each day brings something magical, they see lights on peoples houses, Santa,s and Snowmen and suddenly trees appear in their houses with pretty lights and lots of wonderful things to touch and wonder at, Christmas has always been a brilliant time in our family even when we didn't have much money to spend it was still very precious, my son Andrew is an infants teacher and is absolutely exhausted but he has  just produced a Christmas play and has found it very rewarding for him and the children but I think he will definitely need his Christmas holiday.
Tony and I are going to Birmingham tomorrow  to stroll around, have lunch and just have a lovely day, my shopping is done my wrapping is nearly done and I am beginning to relax a little.
