Starting A New Quilt

This quilt is for a friend of my daughter Kate, the brief was to use pinks and blues, well I hope this is o.k I have laid a few to see if they look good together and I am quite pleased with them all I have to do now is put them together. The hearts are for my daughter Kate's charity sale which is to be held in September, The tiny one's I will make into key fobs and the larger ones are just for decoration, I love hearts and have them all around my home. Kathleen (cottonreel) is helping too and we are making lots of stuff to sell.
My friend cottonrell is home I picked her up at around 2am this morning and by 3am we were on the way home giggling all the way and looking forward to hitting the shops, She has had a good time with her son and his family and is rested and raring to go.

Going to the Airport.

Well! she's coming home, a little earlier than we thought but I think it was way too hot in Cyprus. I have to be at the airport at 00.50 in the morning so I am now going away to have a snooze.

New Forest Ponies

These are New Forest ponies, when we were in Hampshire we went to a little village in the new forest called Burley and these ponies were in the carpark and in several places around the village, they are allowed to roam free so you have to be a bit careful when driving through this area. The village was really pretty with lots of quaint shops and a nice pub garden where we had lunch where a sign said 'Please Cover The Sugar or The Ponies will eat it'.

Givaway

The Birthday Boy

Here he is surrounded by pressy's and paper and sat in his new fishing chair, enjoying a cup of tea before he goes off to work, the cap was a pressy and he loves it. This man is the very best, he loves me, he loves his kids and he loves his home, if he's got a good word to say he never says a bad one he's kind, generous a real gem. Happy Birthday Tony.

Lovely Family Sunday

We have had a really lovely day today, my lovely family were all gathered here for a high tea to celebrate my husbands birthday which is tomorrow. We have had lovely hugs ,kisses and conversation and everybody enjoyed the cheesecake, I must say I was quite proud of myself it came out really well and tasted yummy. I finished quilting the yellow and white quilt and labled it and Kate has taken it home to put on the bed in her spare bedroom she loved it. She brought a headdress she has made for her wedding, she had seen them in the shops and they wanted £150 for them and she has made one and it is beautiful and has an antique brooch on it, a chip off the old block I think. The honeysuckle in my garden is beautiful and every night when we sit in the garden the smell is really overpowering. see you tomorrow.
