Handmade Buttons

My husband found these buttons and bought them for me they are lovely, I don't know what I am going to do with them yet but I want it to be something special. At the moment I just like to take them out of the bag and look at them.

Hearts for My Lovely Kate

This is the first heart I have made as a favour for the female guests at my Daughter Kate's wedding, I have lots of pretty fabrics and I am hoping that the guests will like them. Oh well only another 60 to go.

Binding to be done

This is my Lovers Knot quilt which I have to bind, I used all 1930's fabrics and I am reall y pleased with the way it looks. The pattern is from a Jennifer Chiaverini book, I read her trilogy starting with Wedding Ring and loved the stories and characters so much I sent for the quilt books that went with the stories they are lovely but I did love the Lovers Knot pattern this is the first time I have done any curves and I struggled on my sewing machine but my great friend Kathleen advised me to try it by hand and use lots of pins which I did and I found it a lot easier I then hand quilted it and just have to add the binding to finish. I hope you like it.

Relaxing

This is my man relaxed and happy whilst he fishes and the ducks were a delight to watch they were so busy and bossy the little ones were funny to watch and there was always one that seemed to get away from Mom. I am now going to look at everyone else's blog and can I ask if there is someone who can tell me how I take a button from someone else's blog to put on mine I would love to know how do do this.
