Brilliant Givaway

Pop over to Green Fairy Quilts where Judi is having a brilliant givaway. All you have to do is choose your 3 favourite patternshttp://greenfairyquilts.blogspot.com/ and tell her what they are when you leave a comment. Judi also asked me how many hexagons were in my quilt well there 13.250 I feel quite tired after finding that out.

Lovely Parcels

Recently I received two parcels, I had ordered items from Diane Knott Musings and Apple Tree Cottage. The Brooch/Pin you see is mde by Diane at Diane Knott and the Pot Lid with Chicken was painted by Martha at Apple Tree Cottage. They are both brilliant and I love them the chicken lid is now hung in my kitchen and the brooch/pin is waiting to be worn somewhere special in the meantime I just look at it and admire. If you have not been on these two blogs then you have missed a treat both ladies are extremely talented and really nice too.

The View from my Window

As I sit typing on my computer this is the view I get from the computer room window, I sometimes get so lost in contemplation of the view that I forget to type. I think I am a very lucky lady I have so much to thank God for, my lovely home and garden, my beautiful children and a husband who really loves me and of course our health which we take for granted but is so important. We lead a happy comfortable life with simple pleasures and for this we are so grateful.

I Found More Teacups

Look at my lovely teacups, Kathleen and I went charity shop cruising yesterday and We found all these for just £10 my daughter will be so pleased we now have 73 cups and saucers for her wedding so abount another 30 should do it. I shall be quite sad when I can't buy any more I don't know how I will stop myself they are all so pretty. We also got a Teapot Bread& butter plate and side plates in the £10 as most of these are sold as odd sets so Kathleen now has a new Teapot Sugar Bowl and creamer with a Bread and Butter plate thrown in too she was ecstatic.

I Made A Flower

When I was in Malvern I bought a pattern for this flower so after a search through my scrap bag I made this tryout flower. I really like it and I am going to make some in Baby pink gingham because I thing they would look lovely in a nursery or a little girls bedroom, I will let you see them when I have finished.

Whitby Abby

This is a picture of Whitby Abby the place where Bram Stoker set his story of Dracula. We went to Whitby and had a lovely time the area is so beautiful, you have to drive across the North Yorkshire Moors to get there and the scenery is stunning I can understand why Bram Stoker chose this area to set his story there are mists that come down making it very eerie just right for Dracula although we did'nt see him I'm very glad to say but we did enjoy this little port with its fishing boats and quaint little shops, and yes I did find a quilting shop but, my abiding memory is of a plateful of the best and freshest fish and chips I have ever tasted.
