Lots of love in the Air.

I hope you all have a nice Valentines Day, it's nice to think of each other in a special way and even if you have lost your partner it is nice to think of all the lovely times you had together. My daughter and future son-in-law have gone to London for the weekend they are doing a show and having dinner somewhere special. My son is taking his girl for a special meal and will have a lovely pressy in his pocket for her ( Ihave seen the pressy) it is so lovely to be young and have your life in front of you, live it well my children it surely is a wonderful life.

A Quick Look

This is the material I bought yesterday for my new bedroom curtains, we are decorating at the moment so I have to wait a bit before I can see them actually made up. I was talking to my sister-in-law last night she lives in Hove which is near Brighton in East Sussex she was very excited it is her birthday on the 27th Feb and her son who lives in Toronto is coming over for a week, she has'nt seen him since last summer so she is one very happy lady.It is still very cold here with snow and Kent is very bad again, I was looking at the news and they showed Washington D.C. it was horrendous everywhere was completely deserted. I have just been out to take extra food for the birds poor things! I am off now to make a large mug of coffee mmm!

More Fabric

We went shopping today to a place I had never been before Low Woods Fabrics it was lovely lots of lovely upholstery and curtain fabric I bought a lovely fabric for my bedroom curtains, white background with pink flowers very springlike. Kathleen found some nice green fabric for her Kitchen window, I asked if they ever got rid of the Sample books and the man gave me about 5 different ones all with lovely Sanderson prints of florals, was'nt that kind. We then went and had lunch at the garden centre it was lovely and now we are having a snowstorm "Oh Well you can't have everything".

Come on Spring, Hurry Up!

I am really fed up with the cold weather now, and I cannot bear to think what it is like on the east side of America how can 24" of snow fall all in the one place, I hope you are all o.k it must be a nightmare even if it is pretty. I keep looking out for signs of spring, I have seen snowdrops and some daffodil bulbs are definitely feeling sprightly, the birds are all getting friendly and making a merry noise, but it is still so cold. We have started talking about our first outing in the caravan there is a Flea/antique market on the 28th Feb. in Shepton Mallet near Bath which is in Somerset so maybe we will have a long weekend there the stalls are inside and outside so there will be lots to see.
