A Lovely Weekend

What a lovely weekend we had here, the sun shone and it was warm enough to eat outside. I did quite a lot of work in the garden, the picture you see is a pulsatilla it is so pretty, I bought it last year and I forgot where I had planted it but here she is in all her glory. I have been sanding and re-waxing a chest of drawers from my bedroom and I am really pleased with the result it looks like a different piece of furniture. I also painted my mirror with the gold metal frame. Tony finished the shelves in the bedroom which I now have to paint and he hung the mirror with the cherubs which looks charming, so my bedroom is coming on. Yesterday Kathleen and I went shopping we had a lovely day first we did the charity shops and then we had coffee then we trawled the shops looking for a jacket to go with my dress for the wedding and I found a lovely cream one, I also tried on headwear not quite sure yet what to go for. Then we did the weekly shop, a day well spent. What do you think of this volcano business is'nt it awful all those people stuck in the wrong place all over the world, the dust cloud does not appear to be getting better although there is talk of maybe some longhaul planes taking off, of course the crews and planes are also stuck in the wrong countries I do not envy the people who have to sort that lot out. Hope you all had a good weekend.

Sounds like a wonderful time! The volcano is really something. Hope everyone gets to where they need to be soon. That would be difficult.

Can't wait to see your finished room!

So glad you are having such nice weather, this week we are too.
The volcano is causing a lot of travel woes, but we never hear anything on the news about the poor people in Iceland and the troubles they are facing.

That's a beautiful flower. I don't think I've ever seen one of those....My cousin found she couldn't come home after her vacation in Ireland, for an extra 5days! Mother Nature doesn't play games! xo Paulette
