Auctions!! Be Very Careful When you raise your hand

Here are a selection of photo's from our holiday, the china I am really thrilled with I bought them at an auction for very little money. It was our first auction and I was the one doing the bidding, I was very sensible and I would not go above a certain amount but what I got in China I love. Then we went downstairs to the furniture auction this was very exciting and there were some lovely items but my husband wanted a very falling apart park bench which had no wood left on it but it had a gorgeous wrought iron frame which Tony said he would like to put new slats on for a bench he said there were two and would I bid for the first one, well yes, I bid for the first one but the legs went for too much money, then the auctioneer started with the second one and I thought o.k I will bid for this one instead, so I did, and no one else bid for it so I won, Hooray!! you would think so but, this bench was teak, 5ft long and complete, Tony was saying no,no,no, I was confused, but it was too late we were the owners of a bench that we had to try to fit in the Landrover, I have to say this was very funny, luckily Tony had straps and things as we could not shut the door, we managed to get it back to the caravan site where people had a good laugh, the problem came on Sunday when we were coming home we had to drive for 4 hours with the door open and we had to raise the bench high enough so that we could get the caravan onto the towbar. Well we managed to get everything home in one piece and we now have a lovely old bench in the garden. The other photo's are of Southwold, this is a really quaint seaside town, I loved the pier and the beach huts were adorable. The little town of southwold is very pretty.

That would be me - I would raise my hand and be the proud owner of heaven knows what! I love the pink houses in your previous post; they look so charming and enjoyed the story. Sounds like you had a lovely holiday or vacation (whatever is the right term in England! Americans say RV for caravan and in Canada we usually say camper if it goes on a truck or trailer if you pull it...) I'm with Elizabeth, you must show a picture!

You'll never know all that I bought at auctions, while only 'talking with my hands' ... oy!

Your china is fabulous, I love the roses!

Have a beautiful summer day...
