A Lovely Day

Hello Everyone, What a lovely day it is here in Leicestershire England the sun is shining and everything looks much better. It was Cottonreels birthday last Sunday I popped round to see her and she opened her parcels, she heard from all of her family and had a nice day. I am hoping to take her to Bramble Patch (Quilting Mecca) tomorrow and we will probably have lunch somewhere nice. I am going to try some crazy
patchwork, I love it, I would like to learn a lot more of the embroidery stitches some of them are quite beautiful I have bought a book and it is very good and explains things very clearly, it's nice to try a new craft. It is a quiet time of year and not one I particulary enjoy, I always think January and February are quite hard to get through I love it when March arrives and we start to see the spring flowers. I am not moaning though, when you see what is happening in other parts of the world we are very lucky to live in a country which does not have extreme weather, uprisings, wars or dictatorships for which I am very thankful. Happy Day.

I agree, I'm thankful too we live in a country that doesn't have uprisings, wars or dictatorships. The extreme weather really isn't all that extreme because we are so use to it. I love Jan & Feb...it's always a time for me to rest, relax and get lots of quilting done. Done any quilting lately?? hugs

I have snowdrops in flower in the garden and other bulb leaves are starting to show under the trees in the orchard! I agree, January and February are drear months, mud everywhere here in the wilds - at this time of year I really long for pavements and streelights.

I agree, January and February are slow months and I look forward to March and April and the emergence of fragrant flowers in the garden. So many parts of the world are suffering currently; I am thankful also. It's always nice to visit with you. I hope you have a lovely rest of the week. Wish we could share a cup of tea on one of these dreary, winter days!

Jill, I also find this time of year hard to get through, but for me it is because of the incessant heat and the tropical wet season. I can't wait for April, but by then I am another year older so maybe I should not be pushing the year along too fast after all? ;-)
Hugs
