Hello Everybody, we took time out from decorating on Tuesday 24th to go to Leeds to see Rod Stewart in concert at the new arena, it was BRILLIANT! we have been fans of Rod since forever and have been to lots of concerts but we hav'nt been for a while so this was a real treat, he was so good we loved every minute and sang along with all the songs especially Maggie May. We arrived in Leeds at lunchtime and as we had never been there we had time for a good look around, they have some lovely Victorian Arcades full of nice shops and the indoor market building was amazing, I spent all my time looking up at the balustrades and balconies, very pretty all in all we had a good day.

you lucky girl seeing Rod Stewart, I did check out the prices but alas too pricey for me.He has the most wonderful voice and just carries on getting better and better doesn`t he. Glad you liked our city, the arcades are lovely but would rather live somewhere else! Have not been to the new arena yet but everyone says it is a great place for concerts etc, I have my fingers crossed for Chris de Burgh coming but it is not likely.

Hi Margaret, I thought Leeds was a smashing mix of old and new, we sat in Millenium square for a while and just watched the world go by. The tickets are expensive for these concerts which I think is quite sad because it does exclude a lot of people but Tony bought these for a treat and we haven't been on holiday this year.
The Arena is great I hope you get to go soon.
